It was built for carrying larger loads and running across open water for long distances. However, don't let the size overwhelm you! This boat will still stop run in the shallowest water you can find, not to mention STOP in little to no water with mud underneath and quickly get back on plane!
In Fact a longer boat such as this will allow you to go shallower and get back on plane easily due to the larger surface area.
We have tested this boat with: 35hp Gator Tail with Reverse
Test Results:
One person (180 lbs), 6 gallons gas, battery, and 35 qt yeti cooler - running 28 mph. Add one person (200 lbs) and still running 27-28 mph consistantly. Add 2 more people (230 lbs and 150 lbs) and still running 26 mph consistantly.
3 people (180 lbs, 200 lbs, 230 lbs), choclate lab (70lbs), 3 guns, 3 Final Approach X'Landr layout blinds, 3 blind bags, 6 gallons gas, batter, 35 qt yeti cooler - running 23-24 mph consistantly. One person with the same hunting load as above - running 27 mph consistantly.
All speeds were deep water in slight chop to small wavy conditions.
